- Account Information: Email address, password (encrypted), date of birth
- Avatar Data: Custom avatar configurations you create
- User Content: Posts, messages, and photos you upload
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: GPS location when you create posts (only with permission)
- Device Information: Device type, OS version, unique identifiers
- Usage Data: Features you use, interactions within the app
3. How We Use Your Information
- Create and manage your account
- Enable location-based post discovery
- Match you with other users based on avatar descriptions
- Facilitate messaging between matched users
- Send push notifications about matches and messages
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
- With Other Users: Your avatar and posts are visible at locations
- Service Providers: Supabase (database), Google Maps (location), Expo (notifications)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law
5. Your Rights
- Access: View your data in app settings
- Correction: Update your profile anytime
- Deletion: Delete your account in Profile > Delete Account
- Location: Disable location access in device settings
6. Data Security
We implement encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, secure password hashing, and Row-Level Security policies.
7. Children's Privacy
Backtrack is for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
